Supervision

I offer supervision to individuals or groups. I work with qualified and trainee counsellors , but also with other professionals in caring roles.

My approach to supervision is supportive, reflective and empathic and I aspire to offer a space to supervisees in which to review the caseload and to attend to their needs in the light of client work. I can adapt to different levels of professional development, having overseen trainees’ work in placement for several years. I have trained on integrative supervision with the hope of being able to work across therapeutic models, not only emphasizing the importance of theoretical frameworks but also adapting to different ways of working and of being. To me, the supervisory relationship is co-created by two professionals with a shared believe: to accompany clients in a safe and ethical manner through their therapeutic process. When working as a therapist/counsellor (individuals, couples, families, groups) I am guided by the principles of Psychodynamic, Systemic and CBT, although some components of Person-centred and Existentialism are always present. I believe that each supervisory relationship is unique and I aim to position myself on it from a respectful, understanding and accepting place.
